Director AC Mugil said, “The real-life hero Pon Manickavel became an inspiration for many to believe in the power of justice and truth. We brought together some incredible actors and crew to bring this project to life – From Prabhu Deva, the perfect fit for a cop to Nivetha, who is an embodiment of strength and virtue, we really had a great opportunity here to do complete justice to the role of an inspiring officer who touched several lives. The film follows an honest Inspector General’s life who faces roadblocks in the way of fighting for justice. Manickavel goes to any extent to make sure that justice is served even if that comes at the cost of his reputation being tarnished. We had to give the audience something that would leave an indelible mark and I believe with all my heart that this film, Pon Manickavel will be one that people will love for generations to come.”
